Sunday 18-10-20 The meat industry is uniquely positioned as one of the premier industries where food safety and hygiene is part of our core business. The meat industry already operates to very stringent standards including HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practice, and Australia Standards etc, are verified by state and federal food safety authorities. In addition to this, we are implementing further safety and hygiene practices such as temperature checking for staff, hourly disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces in the shop front and social distancing limits for customers and workers in our shop. Well-respected international agencies including the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and Australian Food Standards Agency (FSANZ) have publicly stated that there is no evidence to suggest that COVID-19 is transmitted in food. Another important note to advise is that we have NO shortage of supply of meat from our suppliers. There is no need for panic buying. We will continue to keep supplying fresh, local produce, to you our valued customers. We encourage you to place orders if you have a large order only to allow us time to prepare the freshest of produce for you so that you are not having to wait longer than necessary in store. We offer pickup or delivery options for these orders. * Further-more if you have been sent home to self-isolate, please notify us to ensure a contactless pickup or delivery.
